About This Role

Comfort Keepers is hiring overnight caregivers to provide safe, attentive care to seniors across San Diego County. Overnight work demands a special kind of professional — someone calm, observant, and steady when it matters most. To be considered, you'll need a valid California driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a background check. Prior caregiving experience is preferred. A CNA or HHA certification will qualify you for our higher pay tiers. If you're the kind of caregiver who takes pride in doing the job right — even when no one is watching — we'd love to talk. BENEFITS: • $18.25 – $25.00/hr — competitive overnight pay based on your experience • Weekly pay • Consistent overnight shifts so you can plan your schedule • Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance • 401(k) retirement plan • Paid training and ongoing skill development • 24/7 office support — you are never alone on a shift • Thoughtful caregiver-client matching RESPONSIBILITIES: • Monitor client safety and comfort through overnight hours • Assist with nighttime routines: toileting, repositioning, and medication reminders • Respond to client needs promptly and with care • Prepare light meals or snacks as needed • Document overnight incidents or changes in client condition • Communicate clearly with the day care team for seamless shift handoffs • Maintain a calm, reassuring presence for clients and their families REQUIREMENTS: • Ability to work overnight shifts reliably and consistently • Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation • Ability to pass a background check • Authorized to work in the United States • Patient, attentive, and calm under pressure Preferred: • 1–3 years of professional caregiving experience • CNA, HHA, or home health aide certification (qualifies for higher pay) • Experience with dementia, Alzheimer's, or memory care clients • CPR/First Aid certification Traits we value: • Dependable — overnight clients rely on you being there • Observant — notices changes before they become problems • Communicates clearly during shift transitions • Adapts easily to different clients and overnight environments Service Area: Serving seniors throughout San Diego County, including Carlsbad, Chula Vista, Clairemont, Del Mar, Encinitas, Escondido, Hillcrest, La Jolla, La Mesa, Mira Mesa, Oceanside, Poway, Rancho Santa Fe, Solana Beach, Vista, and surrounding communities.
